1.2. Academic Support System
Teachers monitor student performance and learning needs, and then adjust what they teach or how they teach to improve student learning.
St. Paul avail the I-ready program to know the progress of the students academically and robotics class for further growth in terms of using technology. Previously Scholastic Reading program was also availed by the school to enhance the reading comprehension of the students.s
St. Paul has community groups and volunteer-based learning programs also, often working in partnership with local public schools and barangays. Usually giving support such as catechesis (evangelization of the word of God), feeding, prison visit, tree planting and tree growing.
Summer school or “summer bridge programs” is also adopted to help students catch up (if they fell behind during the previous year) or prepare for the next grade (if there are concerns they might struggle academically or drop out of high school).
The school is using digital and online learning applications and gadgets, such as Ipad for their textbooks and Quipper (education technology company that provides e-Learning, coaching, tutoring, and assessment services for K-12), to help students grasp difficult concepts, or teachers may use course-management programs that allow them to archive course materials and communicate with students.
In school, the strategy of having advisers is use to build stronger and more understanding relationships between teachers and students. The general idea is that students will be better served and more effectively taught if teachers know students well and understand their distinct learning needs, interests, and aspirations.
Since the school adopts the Outcomes-Based Education Curriculum, extended opportunities are given to the pupils. The support may be provided during regular classes, during the school day, or after regular school hours. Support that focuses on the enhancement of the students skills that they still lack on.
1.3. Teaching system
In a week, there are 5 days learning in St. Paul University Surigao. Each subject has 50 minutes to study about the subject. English is learnt by the student in elementary school everyday. English is divided into 2 sections. The first section is reading and the second section in language. Language means that they learn about grammar.
1.4. Material and other learning sources
Material and other learning sources that is used in elementary school of St. Paul University Surigao encourage the student to understand well about the lesson that is learnt by them such as the English book. The teacher also prepare the lesson from other sources that is from the internet or Youtube if the teacher wants to show the students some videos or games that will help the student understand the lesson well.
1.5. Measurement and evaluation system
There are 3 components that will be the measurement and evaluation system for English.
the first measurement and evaluation is written work. The second is performance task. he last is quartely assessment. Here is the picture of the measurement and evaluation system. (using picture because this site can't use the table)

1.6. General curriculum
Performance-Based Grading system is used. There are four (4) quarters or grading periods in a school year. The final grade is the average of the marks for the four (4) quarters.
GRADE LEVELS under K TO 12 CURRICULUM
1.7. Teaching plan (of your major)
Here is the example of theaching plan of my major. This is my cooperating teacher's lesson plan.

2. Pedagogical contents
2.1. Teaching methods
Teaching methods that are used to by the teacher actually depend on the material that will be taught. There are some teaching methods that the teacher used during the observation for example :
Oral Recitation
Paper-Pen Test
Gallery Walk
Venn Diagram
Interactive Discussion
Video Clip Presentation
Think-Pair-Share
Role play
Board activity
Guessing Game
Video Clip
2.2. Learning materials and innovation
English is divided into 2 part in the different hour. there are reading part and language part. Reading is learning for students' understanding about the text and language is learning about grammar and the structure of sentences.
During my teaching assistant and teaching practicum, the teacher asked me to teacher about language and she taught reading. The materials that were taught by the teacher are cause and fact, and making conclusion.
Sometimes the teacher make an innovation to make the students more enthusiastic to student for example showing the video, making the interesting power point, and making a puppet show.
2.3. Sources of learning and technology
The sources of learning are taken from the book and from the internet for example Youtube. The technologies that are used to encourage the students are projector, laptop, speaker and others.

2.4. Authentic assessment
There several assessment that the teacher used to assess the students.
The first assessment that the teacher used is quiz. There are 2 quizes to assess the student. The first is short quiz and the second is long quiz. These quiz is hold when the student have been explain about the material that is taught by the teacher that day.
The second assessment is quarter test.
The last assessment is final test for the student.
2.5. Others
Every Wednesday the teacher or my cooperating teacher conduct spelling quiz. Because she said that the students are good at speaking english, they can speak English very well but when they write English some students didn’t write in a correct spelling.
3. Observation on Teacher(s) on The Classroom
3.1. Their planning for teaching
My cooperating teacher has prepared the lesson plan for teaching already because she showed me all of her lesson plans and taught me how to make the lesson plan well. It told me that she knows how to plan for teaching.
3.2. Their preparing lessons and materials
During the observation, my cooperating teacher has prepared the lessons and the materials already. It was known because she teach the student very well and the teaching runs smoothly from the first until the last. Although there is a class that has the broken projector and her material in her laptop, she still taught the student professionally and the student easy to understand what was taught by them.
3.3. Their teaching in class?
During my observation in the classroom, she is good at teaching. She explained the materials to the students very well. The way she delivered the materials, the value, the instructions, and the information to the students was fluent, good and easy to understand by the students. Although there was a problem such as the student hadn’t yet prepared their assignment, it wouldn’t block her to teach the student. My cooperating teacher will not continue the material if she find some students that haven’t understand ye about the previous material. That was good because when the teacher continue the material but the students haven’t understand yet because it will cause bad effect in learning and teaching.

3.4. Their measurement and evaluation?
During the observation in elementary school of St. Paul University Surigao exactly in grade 3, my cooperating teacher said that it will be 3 components that are for the measurement and evaluation for language. They are written work, performance task, quarterly assessment. Because my observation and teaching only 2 weeks, so the teacher only did the written work, the performance task and quiz.
3.5. Your overall impression to the teacher performances?
The first time saw her thought that she was scaring and easy to angry but it was totally wrong. She is kind person, smart, and funny. Sometimes we share about our religion, talk about our favorite food because we like eating and sometimes she give me traditional food from Philippines, and share about something. She taught me how to make the lesson plan, how to handle the student, how to take charge the class, how to teach well and others. She taught me everything. She is good at managing the class because the students really behave and they are talk active.

Here is my teaching plan which is Indonesia form

5. Teaching Practice
5.1. Procedures of your teaching
There are some procedures of my teaching. These procedures make me easy to teach in the class. here re my teaching procedures :
Praying. I started the class by praying together
Greeting. Saying “good morning or good afternoon”
Recall students’ memory. Asking the student about the previous lesson that has been learnt yesterday. It is a good way to keep their memory about the lesson or the material that they have learnt.
Showing the students story that related to the material that will be taught.
Reading the story to the student, sometimes ask the students to read the story together.
Asking the student about the story such as “what is the main character?” “what are the characters doing?” “what is the problem in the story?”
Connecting the story to the real life.
Asking the student about the value that they got from the story.
Giving some clues from the story that has relation to the material.
Let the students guess and answer about the material that will discuss .
Telling the student about the material that they will learn.
Telling the student about the objective from the learning.
Explaining the material to the students.
Giving the students more examples about the material.
Short quiz about the material.
Board games or group activities to make the students more interested to the material. Group activities also is a good idea to review the material to the students.
If there is still enough time, it can be used for checking the quiz together.
Praying. I closed the class by praying to the god together.
5.2. Time management and organizing activities
For time management and organizing activities, i divided the time. for opening is about 10 minutes, core activities such as explaining, group activities or quiz is about 35 minutes, and for closing is about 5 minutes.
5.3. Problem-solving
During I taught in two classes, I found two students that are different from other students. they are low to understand the material. the problem solving for them is remedial the students. for example tell the student to meet the teacher in rest hours or after school then they will learn the material again until they understand. If almost one class didn't understand about the material, will not move to another material but i will review again the previous material. When i gave them a quiz, i came to every student to check their writing and help or explained them again if they still hdn't understood yet the material.

5.4. Classroom management
When we start the lesson s better if we ask the students to be ready to study for example we asked them to keep their previous book and ask them “are you ready to study?” “are you ready to listen?”. Before we give the quiz we must give the instructions to them clearly, and when we want to do group activities is better to give them the instruction first about what will they do in the group of activities because when we divide them first before giving the instructions they will not pay attention to the teacher, they will be busy about the number of group or something about the group.

5.5. Your overall impression in teaching
It was a great chance for me to have experience in teaching in abroad exactly at St. Paul University Surigao, Surigao City, Philippines. The first time i came to the class i felt not confident at all but by the time i felt confident. I’ve learnt lot of knowledge how to teach the students well.

5.6. Others
There was no checking the attendance list for my section because my cooperating teacher said that that’s okay, i don;t have to check the attendance list, because the attendance list is checked at the first time the student came to the class and the one who will check the attendance list is my cooperating teacher.
